Amazon.com Inc. has announced that it will open a new Amazon Australian fulfilment centre in the Southwest of Sydney at the second half of this year to continue to support its growing operations.This is a step forward for Amazon Australia who opened their first fulfilment centre in Melbourne in December 2017 to service Australian communities.The new 43,000 square metre Sydney fulfilment centre will support the growing demand and allow Amazon to speed up delivery and increase product selection to all customers across Australia.Amazon is continuing to aim at attracting more sellers and shoppers to its Australian site by offering sellers and third-party traders access to this fulfilment centre and services.This means that traders are able to send the products they are selling to Amazon’s fulfilment centre’s and pay Amazon Australia to pick, pack and ship orders to customer’s in Australia and overseas. They will also handle returns.
